For a long time now, The Stradbroke Island Hotel has been hosting live performers over the weekend to give their customers something extra to remember their time at the hotel. Many of these live performers are backed by popular demand as they may be locals to the island or just extremely popular with the crowds at the hotel. Some of our favourite bands who have continuously put on a great performance include:
Pippi Lips is 4 lads who are local to North Stradbroke Island. They play their island style rock music and are true and proud pioneers of the island’s music scene. These lads have a wealth of experience and have played throughout Queensland in many pubs and clubs. These boys have a unique sound, they’re rough around the edges and it works. The boys have featured on triple j unearthed which is an accomplishment they should be very proud of. Pippi Lips continues to lead Stradbroke’s music scene, be sure to catch their next gig at the Stradbroke Hotel and party with the boys themselves. This month Pippi Lips will be performing at 8pm Saturday the 27th of April.
If you have ever heard or met Matty before you would know that he’s born to be a performer. Every show he does he brings his own flavour to it and absolutely kills it every single time. Matty is a one-man band who has started his own business ‘Mr Entertainment’ which provides entertainment for weddings. After falling into a job which he wasn’t excited about he decided to live life as if he only had six months to live and evidently now loves what he does for a career. Stradbroke Hotel relishes the opportunity for Matty Ross to perform at the hotel as every time he gives something different to the audience and leaves them wanting more. This month Matty will be performing Friday April 12th from 7pm.
SALTY BEATS is a Straddie local and loves coming down and playing at Stradbroke Island Beach Hotel. His presence is loved by all as he creates a fantastic atmosphere that has seen him play at some top gigs across the Brisbane area. You can join us for our big April live music act on Friday 26th April from 7.30 – 11.30pm. This event will be one not too miss.
These four are just some of the hotel’s regular performers, but in saying that the hotel is always looking for new and up and coming performers to keep Straddie’s music scene thriving. Stradbroke Hotel would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has performed or will ever perform for their enormous effect in keeping the live music scene alive and thriving.
